Call it the crazy blogger mom in me, or maybe the awesome mama I am, but there’s nothing I love more than coming up with fun ways to photograph my kids to mark each year they head back to school. We begin with a Back to School Eve party where we come up with a theme for the year and spend some time talking and praying for the upcoming school year and then, of course, there’s the 1st day of school photos.
In honor of all the other awesome Mama’s out there who torture your children with all kinds of fun back to school photos, here are some fun ideas for you to use as your kids head back to school in the next couple weeks.
Idea #1: I Wanna Grow Up! The what do you want to be when you grow up photo. This one’s always fun to be able to go back and see how your kids change each year.

Idea #2: Chalk it out! This is a fun way to see how much they grow each year. Take a picture at the beginning and the end of the year to see how much they’ve grown and changed.

Idea #3: Add a dose of Personality! Let your littles add their own personality to their back to school photos. It makes it a little more fun for them.

Idea #4: Add the Details Later. Focus on getting a great picture and then use great programs like PicMonkey to add in the details. Now you can go back and remember all their favorite things.

Idea #5: Keep it Simple! Sometimes we just need to keep it simple so we can avoid the stress and headache of trying to keep up with the Jones’, if you know what I mean. I love how simple and easy this would be to capture even early in the morning before you head off to school.
