Last weekend the hubby had plans to head to Big Bear for a weekend trip with his Bible study group.
Friday morning we woke up to this lovely nibbled banana.
A mouse you say?
Why yes!
Where’s my hubby going… away!!!
For the weekend!!
Leaving me, and our children, alone, in our house….
with the mouse.
So I strapped on my Super Mom cape and called in the help of a friend.
Thanks Rachel!
After some help from the “beverage” section of my pantry, (kidding),
we set some traps and waited.
After my friend left, I
grabbed my computer, ran to my room, shut the door, turned on the tv
and almost threw up in fear waiting for “the mouse” to appear.
It did.
I got it!

My son has decided that sleeping in his boots is the only way to go to sleep.
So every night after bath time, we put on his boots.
Then every night when I check on him before I go to bed, I remove them.
Oh the things we do for our little ones.
Are your children obsessed with Tangled?
Mine are.
Repunzel and Muegene is what i hear all day long. haha
But I have to say, this is too cute.
Katelyn’s reading her little brother the Tangled coloring book.
Best part?
They laugh and cheer as they read.
Halloween came and went in a candy coma blur.
Katelyn was Princess Ariel and Brayden was Buzz Lightyear.
I’ll post more pictures soon.
This week I went through the kids closets and removed everything that no longer fits.
It’s all bagged and in the garage ready for a trip to Children’s Orchard
and to be donated to our church’s Teen MOPS program.
While going through stuff I found this vintage shirt I wore when I was Katelyn’s age.
Oh my goodness she looks so cute in in!
Last night I baked.
I baked for our MOPS Childcare workers,
and for my friends.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Mini’s and cookies courtesy of the this blog.
Here is the other reason I needed to bake.
Our house is under construction.
New roof, new aesthetic changes to the front of the house.
Lot’s of noise.
Baking makes me happy.
It makes me forget all the noise.
I’m dying over how cute Katelyn’s Preschool picture turned out!
I was so nervous.
I had to write a check and pay for pictures before I saw them.
I had no idea what to expect.
Thank goodness, she’s a pro!

OK. I HATE mice. We had a mouse problem in an old house a few years ago… Blegh. So glad we don't have mice at the new place!!!
How cute your kiddos are reading together! Love it!
Bless the hubs? Hmm… One way is by taking an interest in something he loves. He's a team roper. I go to every roping, learned the rules, and watch the pros with him. He loves it! 🙂
