Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Even if it fell on a school day (ok, especially if it fell on a school day), I loved getting dressed up, getting to see what all the other kids were dressed up as, and of course, the epic candy hauls my younger sister and I would end up with after trick or treating around the neighborhood for hours. We had a fun tradition in our house where we’d come back from trick or treating, dump out our bags, and sort our candy into piles: good, bad, and coconut (aka inedible). The coconut candy got trashed immediately, the “bad” got passed onto our parents, and we got to choose a piece or two of good candy to eat that night. The rest we’d save, and somehow, we managed to keep candy stashes for the better part of the next year… though I always wondered how my Reese’s disappeared so quickly.
As a tribute to those sugar-filled happy memories, I created a colorful Halloween printable set called “All Treats, No Tricks,” and giving Rags to Stitches readers free downloads of the 4×6 Party Cards from the printable set! If you click the preview image below (the one that says Free 4×6 Party Signs), it will take you to a page to save/download and print a PDF of the two 4×6 cards you see in that picture. If you just can’t get enough of the sweet-as-candy printables and want to check out the rest of the printables kit, the rest of the party pack is available for purchase in my brand new Storenvy shop.
