Tell Me a little bit about your shop and blog:
I started my blog after following Jen with Tatertot’s and Jello. I had a very basic blogger template blog nothing fancy and Jen asked me to guest post on her blog, and I was bit by the blogging bug and had a custom design made. I post about fun happenings, craft tutorials and love to feature other crafters. My Etsy shop is a result of me trying every craft project imaginable and then selling it. It’s not a real money maker for me but I enjoy making a sale and making someone happy with something cute I have made.
How do you balance life and your blog and shop?
Balance is hard because I tend not to say “no.” I have been stressed on occasion that I don’t have several posts in a week, but I don’t want to post just for the sake of posting something. It has to be something important to share so if there are several days between, It’s OK. Balancing life…..well I just bought a happy hot pink calendar so I hope to be all organized and balanced in that department too. LOL
What do you love most about summertime?
I love being able to go to bed without setting the alarm. I love the beach too and getting caught up on those projects I have put off during the year.
Any advice for someone wanting to open their own shop?
Absolutely open a shop. Share your talent, there is someone out there that will be interested in your work. You can start slow, but you should give it a try for sure.

Tell Me a little bit about your shop and blog.
I’m Andrea, I’m married to an awesome man, and momma to two boys. They are 5 and 4, and keep me busy! My blog is about projects, home, etsy finds, and random bits and pieces from my life.
I started Bubblewrapp’d {the shop} in November of 2010. I make small(ish) wood plaques with words to motivate, inspire, or just to make you smile! I love getting to create, and come up with new ideas, or color combos, etc! It’s been such an amazing experience so far! I completely love what I do!
How do you balance life and your blog and shop?
I am still working on a balance. Every time I think I achieve a balance, we enter a new “phase”, and I have to readjust. So, I guess that’s the thing, the balance is constantly shifting.
What do you love most about summertime?
Listen, as much as I would like to say I think summertime is all flowers and rainbows, I’m not a fan. It’s HOT. Like, really really hot. And the bugs. Oh my. The bugs. Yuck. So in trying to find a positive, I would say, my favorite thing about summer is fall comes next 😉
Any advice for someone wanting to open their own shop?
Jump in! You’ll never know how it’ll work out unless you try!

How do you balance life and your blog and shop?
I struggle with work/life/shop/blog balance because I work full time out of the home. Add a 3 hour roundtrip commute to that a day and I am pretty taxed by the time I get home at night. I try to maintain a positive attitude and relish in the time I do have to create since it is so precious and rare. I also get great satisfaction out of relationships I have been able to build on twitter. I love helping others and seeing others grow.
What do you love most about summertime?
I love spending time with my fiance and pup and going on vacation. I love warm weather and the sunshine. Fall, however is my all time favorite season. I really blossom in college football season.
Any advice for someone wanting to open their own shop?
Research having a handmade business and think of all the logistics. Be organized and thorough in your planning. Go at your own pace and try hard not to compare yourself to others. You will, as this is human nature but know that nobody is making your exact same product because nobody is you. Focus on your brand. Be your brand. Be you!
