If we were having coffee, I would invite you over for a cup of coffee. The weather has been so beautiful, we’d most likely enjoy our coffee in the sunroom, with all the windows wide open allowing us to enjoy the breeze, while our littles play. I would ask you how your week has been? What are you most grateful for this week?
I would tell you that even though Friday is the night that we usually go out for a family dinner and then come home and snuggle together, we decided that it’s just as important to date our littles as it is to spend time as a whole family. Kyle had told Katelyn that morning before school that they were going out on a date that evening and I wish I could capture the smile she had plastered to her face all day. I think she might have even gone into her closet several times to figure out what she was going to wear. It was the cutest thing! While she wanted to wear her fanciest dress, it ended up being too chilly and she opted to wear her jumpsuit. How adorable is she?!
I would tell you that I can’t enter Sprouts anymore for groceries without buying flowers for our home. I have no idea what type of flowers these orange beauties are, but they have brightened up my kitchen table for well over a week now. There’s something about flowers that leaves me feeling so happy and fills me with unexplainable joy. I would probably send you home with one of my mason jar mugs of flowers so you can experience it as well.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that the company who shot a photo and video in our home and backyard a couple months ago has finally launched their product in every Bed, Bath and Beyond in America. It was so much fun taking the kids into the store so they could see themselves on the marketing. Can you see the small picture of them eating pizza in the grass? And see that blurry group of people in the background of the main photo? Those are some of good friends! How fun is that?!!!! Be sure to check out Bakerstone Box and if you want to see a peek at the video they made, here you go. If you love really, really good pizza, then you need one of these in your home!
Lately I’ve been starting and ending my week with Vinyasa or Pilates. I think it’s helped me feel like I’m easing into a new week and mentally prepare myself for all that may come up and and then closing out my week by slowing it down and having a time of reflection. Today, my yoga instructor talked about how important it is to remember each day all the things we are grateful for and I felt as though the Lord was speaking those words to me through her. So often I get caught up in the things I can’t control and I become agitated, rather than taking the time to let it go, give it up to Him and allow Him to work in my life and through those situations.
This weekend marks spring break for our kiddos so we are going to spend it with Kyle’s family on a weekend getaway. I’m looking forward to some extra sleep, time with family and some wine tasting. If you’re in the Santa Maria/Lompoc area, we are headed to the Santa Barbara Vintner’s Wine Festival Saturday, so maybe I’ll see you there.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you what you’re grateful for this week.
Coffee date was created so that we could come together each week and build up our community. The blogging community has been so incredibly gracious to me and some of my best friends have been met through these inter webs. I hope the same is true for you. Each week you’re invited to link up a vlog post or a blog post. Some weeks we have themes, others we’re just sharing what’s on our heart. We do have a couple rules tho:
1. Please link directly to your post, not to the main page of your blog.
2. Please link back to my blog so that people can come join us each week for coffee as well
3. Visit some others and encourage their hearts today

I don’t have it in me to do a whole post today, but today I’m grateful that this week is over and while I don’t feel awesome (yet) I feel better than I did Tuesday and Wednesday when I was home sick from work. I’m also grateful for sick days that I don’t have to feel too too guilty for using.

Oh friend being home sick from work is the worst. Praying that you are able to get some rest this weekend so you can feel refreshed for the new week. xo

Alissa, your sweet loves are so stinkin’ cute!! I’m sure they will have so much fun with Kyle’s family and be incredibly loved on!
For some reason, the video isn’t showing though-just the code??
Also, just a tip, when placing flowers in water, if you take all of the greenery off the stems (that would otherwise be submerged in the water), you flowers will last longer. 🙂 If you have greenery in the water, bacteria builds up and kills the flowers quickly. I’d love for you to enjoy your pretty ranunculus’ for as long as possible!
Have a great weekend and enjoy your time with the hubby at the wine festival!
