If you’re joining me for coffee today, I would tell you….
Our date might not last as long as we hoped because this mama’s feeling a little bit under the weather. I would tell you that I have a fever that came on in the last couple hours and now I’m sitting on my couch relaxing after popping Zinc and throwing back 2 tablespoons of Elderberry.
I would tell you that I promise next week I will vlog again. It’s been a little weird without the vlogs, or maybe you don’t miss them because, let’s face it, I’m a little awkward on screen + my voice is squeaky.
I would share with you that this book by one of the key note speakers at Blissdom, Jon Acuff, is ah-mazing! It comes out next month + it’s a must read for sure. I’m on chapter 5 so far. I would tell you how it inspired this post that I wrote yesterday. Thank you for all the beautiful and kind words of encouragement, but I’m mostly blessed that you were all uplifted and encouraged through it.

I would tell you how I’ve tried so hard this week to really + truly be present when I spend time with my kids. I’m might just be doing a good job because so far this week I’ve left a pancake cooking on the stove for way too long and I almost burnt hard boiled eggs. Burnt food aside, it’s been busy week getting back into the swing of things, but I’ve made a lot of memories with my kids.
I would tell you that I made 72 Easter themed mini cupcakes, I needed to make 48, but oh ya, I burnt 24 of those too. I’m on a roll this week folks. But it was worth every extra cupcake because I got to spend time with both of them in their preschool classes this week. They are seriously so cute showing me around and telling me all about the fun activities they do at school.
I would also tell you that Saturday (oops tomorrow) is my birthday + I’m celebrating by sharing my new measurements from my fitness journey and a date night with my hubby!! Can’t believe I’m going to 33! Whoosh!
But enough about me, let’s talk about you. If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

If we were having coffee, I would have a get well card for you. I would tell you that this has been a pretty rough week for me schedule wise. I dropped the ball on some school work and I am scrambling to catch up before the end of term which is April 29th. I would also wish you a happy early birthday..
I hope you feel better and that you are able to have a nice relaxing weekend.
Alissa Circle says

it’s always so hard to balance schedules and school work.

Happy Early Birthday Alissa! Your kids are the cutest and I’m sure they didn’t care that you burnt 2 dozen cupcakes…after all, they got to lick the bowl twice, right?
I hope you feel better soon and can fully enjoy your birthday tomorrow! Happy Easter!!
Sandra says
I agree with Eva…sounds like you need a special dinner date…as a reward for sticking with it even after the burnt cupcakes! Hope you feel better by tomorrow, Happy Birthday & Happy Easter 🙂

I would say –
I am praying you will feel better for your birthday celebration on Saturday.
Good for you for making some healthy changes this past year
Can I buy you a coffee/tea to celebrate your special day? (that’s what I would do if we were actually together)
We all burn things and yippee for the cupcakes that turned out well.
Glad you had those sweet moments with your children in their classrooms
and most of all – Happy 33rd Birthday
Sincerely,
Debbie
