This week has seems to soar by in a blur. It has left me feeling tired, run down and feeling as though I’m on the verge of getting sick. Even tonight as I sit here, mind in a fog, I’m wondering if anything I’m about to say will make any sense. Do you have those moments? I could really use another cup of coffee, but I’m trying hard to avoid the second wind curse tonight.
I truly believe I wasn’t created to get up before 8am because I’m such a night owl and having to get up and function, pack snacks and make sure that everyone is dressed, matching preferably, and get out the door on time is challenging for me. I feel like my don’t talk to me fog is still looming Hopefully week two back to school will be kinder to me. Are you a morning person? I would love some good tips for being more than a bear at 7am.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I know we’re only 9 days into the new year, but I feel as though I’m already learning so much about myself. I’m trying to be more aware of how I move and interact with people during the week, prioritize creating moments for myself to close my brain and refresh my mind and speaking words of affirmation into my kids. I think the busyness and the messiness of being a mom and an entrepreneur often leaves me exploring my insecurities and mommy guilt. Don’t get me wrong the messiness of it all is beautiful and I wouldn’t change any part of it, but learning to combat my inner voices is high on my list this year.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I had two coffee dates this week that left me feeling refreshed, energized and excited for this year. I often times let the busyness of life be my excuse for not seeing friends and I’m really working to change that this year. I’m so glad I am. I have some amazing friends in my life and fostering those relationships is so important.
I want to hear how you are doing. How has your week been? How can I encourage you?
Coffee date was created so that we could come together each week and build up our community. The blogging community has been so incredibly gracious to me and some of my best friends have been met through these inter webs. I hope the same is true for you. Each week you’re invited to link up a vlog post or a blog post. Some weeks we have themes, others we’re just sharing what’s on our heart. We do have a couple rules tho:
1. Please link directly to your post, not to the main page of your blog.
2. Please link back to my blog so that people can come join us each week for coffee as well
3. Visit some others and encourage their hearts today.
Happy Linking!

I love the promise that a new year brings, and it sounds like yours is off to an awesome, re-prioritized, reflective start. 🙂 Oh, and for me, I am a MUCH better morning momma when I get up and get myself ready before my kids. This means I have quiet time to myself to collect my thoughts and think about my daily goals before the rest of my house wakes up. This also means having to sacrifice a little sleep; so, there’s that… 😉 Have a great weekend!

Excited to see what this year has in store you 🙂
I am not a morning person either 🙁 but I know that if i don’t get up when my alarm goes off we end up having a mad rush and the rest of the day kinda snowballs ..
I would love for you to stop by my blog and check it out, I totally re-branded it after our consultation and I would love to know you thoughts….
Glad to be joining you this week and working towards my goals ..

GIRL, I can totally relate to the mom/entrepreneur mommy guilt. I am also trying to quiet those voices in my head telling me that I’m not doing the right thing, no matter which hat I am wearing. You just can’t win! So, I too am working on being the best I can be and trusting my gut as far as what I need to be doing to keep some sort of balance in my life as mom, wife, business owner, and everything else. Wishing you a great Friday and wonderful weekend!

Can’t wait to see what you accomplish this year! Pretty sure we all have mommy guilt on some level, just remember to take advantage of the time you do have with your littles; be fully engaged in them, put work away, put your phone/ipad/laptop away and be with them. They will remember those moments. Have a fabulous weekend!xoxo

I wake up at 5am everyday…not because I want to, but I have to be out the door for work by 6:30. Apparently on Saturday’s my internal alarm clock goes off because it’s 5:30 here and I’m wide awake. The one thing I found that helps me get energized in the morning is to do a little exercise. I use the Runtastic Apps: Six Pack Abs, Situps and Squats to get a quick workout in.
