I am a complete planner freak. To the point that this year I got a late start, a really late start ordering my calendar and I found it hard to make plans. Yes, literally people would call me and ask me if I could do commit to stuff and I would stiffen up and hesitate because I didn’t have my calendar. I found that my iPhone wasn’t cutting it. I can’t look at the week at a glance or make to do lists. I consider myself tech savvy, but I couldn’t convert from the pencil to the phone. I need my pencil, I need my planner. Then I got the text, that glorious text on January 18th that my planner was finished. I jumped out of my seat, squealed with excited and made plans to pick it up the following morning.
I loved it even more when I picked it up than when I ordered it. I dreamed all the way home about writing birthdays in my monthly pages and finally penciling in all the things people have been asking me to do. It was freeing!
I have to share my excitement with all of you. Meet my right hand man, my planner! Isn’t it fabulous?! I love that it has a month at a glance and then I can see each week, week by week as well. The creator of these adorable, personalized calendars is Emmy at Much Ado About You. You can also keep up with Emmy at her blog, Confessions of a Paper Freak.

Alissa,
I can TOTALLY relate! I STILL don't have my calendar and I, too, am feeling paralyzed as I try to make plans and feel like I can't commit to anything until I can see it all in front of me. I've got an iPhone, too – a beautiful thing – but it just doesn't work like my Much Ado About You calendar does! Now my question is, am I a freakish enough to backtrack and fill in the month of January AFTER the fact when I finally get my calendar in February?? I think I may lose sleep over leaving the WHOLE month blank! 🙂 Although maybe I need to save it to use in January 2012 when I am once again late in getting my "My Events" submitted to Emmy!!

That is so cute!! I just put everything in my ipod calendar, but then it doesn't look as cute as what you've made. I love it!
I'm following from the social parade! I'd love for you to stop by and check my blog out when you get the time!

My calendar from Emmy is my best friend, and helps me to make friends in the process. Everyone wants to know where I got my "leopard print" calendar. Grin.

This year I finally put the paper and pen away. It was like saying goodby to my best friend. Hilighters and white out tape, kids stuff all color coded….(nut job is what my husband would call me). I just HAD to see things on paper, and after seeing your amazing planner, it made me sad that mine sits in my office just staring at me 🙂
I finally had to use google calendar, each kid has a calendar color, and there are great apps that put a widget on my phone so everything looks just like it did in my book. So the nut job lives on but converted to the phone 🙂 Yours is much more fun!
