{Wore: Striped Kerchief Tank – Madewell // Capris – GStar // Earrings – World Market // Necklace – Three Sisters Jewelry}
I’m LOVING stripes. I can’t seem to get enough of them. No matter where I go they seem to stand out to me and call my name until I snag them off the rack and head off to the dressing room to try them on. They are my complete distraction right now. It doesn’t matter which way the stripes are going, chevron or horizontal, I’m completely and utterly in love with them and often find myself debating out loud whether they need to come home with me and live in my closet.
I’m ANTICIPATING some conferences I’m really excited to be attending this fall. One I will be speaking at alongside some other amazing ladies, whose company I’m honored to be in, and the other I will be attending. Wondering which ones I’ll be at? Well…hehe I’ll tell ya. I’ll be speaking at the Penelope Lane Mini Blogging Conference on Sept. 29 (are you coming?) and I’ll be flying out to Indianapolis, IN, for Influence Conference mid-October. I love meeting new people and being surrounded by amazing bloggers and passionate woman, I can’t wait!
I’m MISSING my family. Some days are harder than others, but I wish my family wasn’t so spread out. And I know my kids are missing them terribly as well. I wish they could see how much they grow with each day that passes. I know we’re blessed to have Kyle’s family living so close by, but someday I hope that my family all lives closer together than we do now.
I’m MOTIVATED to start making some big deals for Pollinate Media Group. I feel like I’ve spent too many nights wondering if I’m good enough, smart enough, capable enough… enough is enough!! I’m ready to get out there, have meetings and talk about the amazing bloggers we have in our community and the incredibly creative posts they can expect to see if they work with us. Just call me a go getter. hehe
I’m HAPPY that we’re on day 10 of potty training and while Brayden won’t poo poo in the potty, he’s got the tinkling down and we haven’t had an accident in days. #knockonwood. I’m SAD because it’s just one more milestone we’re passing reminding me that my little baby soon won’t be my little baby any more. I think that might be part of the reason I’ve been holding onto those pull ups, despite my hate for their price tag, I’m just not ready for my youngest to grow up any faster than he is.
I’m NERVOUS about the school year starting. Katelyn will be in preschool 3 days a week and then come January Brayden will start 2 days a week. UGH! Time, I’m shaking my fists at you. I’m nervous about juggling the blog, Pollinate, school schedules, activities and loosing my amazing babysitter at the end of this month because she’s a teacher. She has quickly become part of the family this summer and I’m hoping we can find someone as amazing as her. T-minus 3 weeks. eek!
I’m READING… well I’m not reading anything right now, but I read 2 amazing books on the plane to and from New York on my trip to BlogHer ’12. I read Be Quiet and Say Something and Kisses for Katie. I highly recommend you read both if you haven’t already, they will change your life in an amazing way.
I’m LISTENING to Taylor Swifts new song quite a bit. Have you heard it yet? She’s so angry, hehe, it cracks me up because it’s so opposite who I think she really is. In other news I’m avoiding listening to Bruno Mars and any other piece of sheet music that reminds me that my favorite hot Hollywood couple broke up. For my sanity, they better get back together soon.
What are you up to currently?

the top looks a hundred times better on you than the drab just hanging there style on the model! (need to remember that slightly tucked in look for the days when I feel like my stomach is flatter LOL
& reading??? besides a magazine?? There is a James bible study I’m behind in doing & I picked up a Stephen King book that I’m about 7 years late in finishing. Lost the time to read once my son was born

I’m also currently obsessed with stripes! I love blog conferences, I can’t believe how many there are….I went to my first 2 this year, and it seems like there is something every month all year! Have fun speaking and attending!

That is such a cute top – so flattering! I am in the same boat as you with the little ones growing up too fast. My twin boys started part time preschool yesterday and while we all made it through OK I’m still feeling very sentimental and a bit sad about it. But I’m excited for this new journey for them…and the fact that they loved it. 🙂

Outfit looks great. And your hair deserve its own comment too! It’s so straight and smooth. I really need to know how you do that 🙂 Stopping by from WIWW.

very cute outfit, I love the stripes and the colours. I am so jealous of all the conferences you get to attend as both a speaker and an attendee. I hope shortly I will be able to start attending. Taking baby steps towards my goals.
