I can’t believe today is the first day in December.
25 days left till Christmas.
25 more days to hide our little Elf.
Oh did I mention we named him Gelf.
We’re working on rhyming.
We are now the proud friends of Gelf, the Elf on the Shelf.
Last night we decorated our home as a family.
This is the first year where I let the kids touch the ornaments.
Only 2 casualties. Not bad for a 3 1/2 year old and a 2 year old.
The kids helped hang lights and put up the Nativity.
I loved watching Katelyn’s eyes light up as I told her who each person in the Nativity was.
She’s been learning all about the story of Jesus’ birth at school.
Brayden is enjoying naming all the animals.
I’m just praying I don’t find them in his bed, the doll house or the kitchen set.
I love my mantle this year. I know there’s not a lot you can do when your tv is above the fireplace, but I love that it feels cozy and inviting.
The candy cane pipe cleaners are from a craft we did with Grandma Thanksgving week, and I’m loving my new signs from Joys Hope.
I have a little bit of a snowman fetish. I just love how cheerful they are!
This is our little piece of winter snow each day.
I love this room in our house, but there’s something about having it decorated for Christmas that makes me all warm and smiley.
I love Christmas time!
December don’t rush by too fast.
I want to enjoy each and every moment you have to offer.
