This past weekend we visited our family vineyard in Santa Maria. It’s one of our favorite trips of the year.
The colors are phenomenal and leave me feeling inspired and loving the fall season.
Our family vineyard sits on 500 acres. Each acre is covered with gladiolas, peppers, strawberries or purple and white grapes on the vine. The fresh smell of the crisp air mixed with the smell of freshly cut grapes, makes you wish you had time to wander up and down each row enjoying every aspect of it’s beauty.
This is a wee bit more difficult when you are traveling with young ones who want to pull the small grape clusters off the vines and eat them by the handfuls.
We haven’t visited the vineyard since before Brayden was born and we loved watching him get excited with each passing truck and tractor and “oooh” and “ahhh” at all the new wonders around him.
We spent Saturday morning riding around the vineyard and stopping to watch those working on the ranch trim the grapes for crushing. I think they found the kids excitement contagious and I often caught them giggling at how much they were enjoying watching the grapes being cut. I’m pretty sure Brayden would’ve driven the tractor if we had let him.
These pictures were taken from our favorite part of the ranch. It’s the highest point and it doesn’t matter which way you look the view is breath taking.
It was a perfect weekend at the vineyard and while we are glad to be home and sleep in our own beds tonight, we have such fun memories to look back on.
My favorite part? All the pictures captured of Katelyn and Brayden laughing or smiling. Melts my heart!!
