Katelyn started preschool today!
Wow! How time flies. I really do feel like it was just yesterday that we were at the hospital meeting her for the first time.
This morning, in true I’m an onetime nazi fashion, we got up extra early so we would have time to take lots of pictures and get to school a little very early! We didn’t mean to arrive 20 minutes early, it’s just you never know what kind of traffic and red lights you will encounter from our house to her school.
This morning we hit none and in 10 minutes we went from our door to the steps of her preschool. Oh well, now we know we have an extra 15 minutes of sleep in the morning.
Katelyn had an amazing day! Thank you to everyone who left heartfelt comments on last nights post. I cherished everyone of them. I remembered them as I dropped her off at school and while I did shed a few tears, I realized they were tears of joy for the little independent woman she’s becoming. She hugged her Daddy and I with confidence and didn’t even seem concerned to be in a new place, surrounded by new friends when we left. When I picked her up she told me the best part about there first day of school was her teacher! How precious is that?! It made my heart soar. God knew this is where she belonged and He placed her at an amazing school, with an amazing teacher.
While Katelyn was at school Buddy and I went to the park and ran some errands. We even purposely bumped into Angry Julie at Joann’s Fabrics. I loved having time alone with him and I think he loved it too. I look forward to finding activities he and I can do together while Katelyn’s at school.
This morning I took 76 pictures… yes 76! Here are just a few of my favorites. The sign you see in the pictures was my first spray painting project. Tutorial coming soon…
