I don’t know about y’all but I’m so excited about all the new + exciting changes Instagram has been making to their app lately. First, we got video capabilities, now we’re able to take our pictures and video and embed them into our websites and blogs! Instaawesome, say what?! If you haven’t seen this new update, here’s a quick and easy tutorial for how to get started.

[STEP ONE] First things first, open your desktop browser and head to Instagram.com. Then log into your Instagram account
[STEP TWO] Click on the picture or video you want to embed + it will pop open in a larger window
[STEP THREE] See where that awesome red arrow is below? Click on that box to pull up the coding needed to embed your picture or video.
[STEP FOUR] Grab the coding and, in your blog post, embed it into the html section. At the top of your post you should have a Visual and HTML tab. The visual is what we normally use so that we don’t need to type our blog posts using specific coding needed to show spacing, etc. When you click the HTML tab, it takes you to the coded area of your post, simply copy/paste your Embeded code there and when you click back to the visual tab your picture will appear.

Hi! I’ve been reading along for a while and it’s about time that I introduce myself! I’m Kate. What a great feature for all of us in blog land! I have a question. I’m ashamed to admit that I don’t know how to add words and/or graphics to my Instagram pics. Apple should hire me for my next question, is there an app for that? Help-I’m clearly not up on my technology!
