Growing up in my house we didn’t really “do” Halloween. I remember a couple of years where I donned a costume and went trick or treating, but it wasn’t considered a “major” celebration in my house like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since I’ve known my husband, every year since he was in high school he’s dressed up like a cow. His cow is so old and so infamous that the utters look like they need a lift and tuck. Then when Katelyn was born I went all out making her a little Hawaiian hula costume. She’s 4 months old in this picture. I tried to pry my husband away from the cow, but alas, he and I both ended up dressing up as cows. I know, I’m such a supportive wife!
Then last year I succeeded in “loosing” the cow suit, but then my hubby refused to dress up at all and so we headed out to go trick or treating with Katelyn dressed up as an angel. I made her costume that year too.
This year I’m excited because not only has the cow suit been retired, but we now have new costumes to go trick or treating in. My husband has sworn me to secrecy, but don’t worry I’ll be posting pictures next weekend of the two of us dressed up. But to hold you over here’s a sneak peak of my kids all dressed up for Halloween.
This year they are Dorothy and Toto from the Wizard of Oz.

I love that we did similar embellishments on pink tees for our daughters. Hilarious. Could K be a cuter hula girl?! So cute! PS Glad you got to ditch the cow digs last year 😉
