Let’s grab a cup of coffee and catch up.
If we sat down for coffee I would tell you about my new camera lens I got for Christmas.
It’s a 50mm lens and even tho I’m so excited to have it, I’m totally intimidated by it. I know, it sounds so funny to be intimidated by a lens, but I am. I can already telly he difference between my old lens and this new one. All I want to do is take pictures of everything.
Isn’t she a beauty? Do you have any tips for taking amazing pictures with this bad boy?
I would tell you that I’m really hoping it’s going to take the pictures on my blog to a whole new level. EEK! So exciting!
I would tell you how much I love Christmas time because every one sends us holiday cards with photos and I love, love, love getting cards in the mail. After the holiday season one of my very favorite things to do is trim them down and put them up on a photo board in our kitchen. I can’t stand throwing them away so they stay up all year round. It makes me feel close to my friends. It reminds me to pray for them, to call and ask how they are doing.
I would tell you that my photo board was my hubby’s idea. He doesn’t like pictures on the fridge because they fall off and this was a great way for us to display invitations and pictures throughout the year. Doesn’t it look amazing?! And can I just tell you how much I just love seeing pictures of my blogging friends up there too?! It seriously warms my heart.
I would also tell you that this happened this week.
Yup our little man transitioned from a crib to a big boy bed.
And he did so great. No tears, no getting up a million times.
He is so excited about his new bed we find him wanting to lay in it and read during the day as well.
How cute is that?
And I would tell you that I’ve been journaling lots of hopes and dreams for this little blog in 2012.
I have so many things I want to write about. Experiences I want to open up about and share.
If I could think of one word that I hope defines the core of my blog this year it would be:
HONESTY
To always be open an honest, to write whats on my heart, to continue to document the past and present journeys of our lives, and to be who I am, with no compromise.
But mostly I just want to hear from you this week?

you are precious. this post made me so happy. i love your picture board. i just got a DSLR last month and i’m intimidated by it too! so i don’t think it’s weird to be intimidated by a lens at all! happy new year, friend!

I love that picture board! I have a big “tree” that hangs bare and lovely all the other months of the year just waiting to have Christmas cards placed in it’s branches and leaves. It was my hubby’s idea too and I love it. Those smart husbands.
I like your word for 2012.

Happy New Year!! Your son in his bed makes me think about my son today sitting on his reading while he was supposed to be cleaning…he just really started reading on his own and I didn’t have the heart to tell him to stop–so we cleaned together when he was done an hour later. . .can’t wait to meet up with you again in real life soon: )

My little Finley did the same thing when we transitioned him. He absolutely LOVED his new big boy bed. :)) I’ve been keeping up with you on Twitter and finally decided to visit your blog.
I think we are just going to stay home with the kiddos this year. It has become sort of a tradition to blow up the air mattress and have a big sleepover in the living room. We make cupcakes and toast with juice in my real crystal flutes. We watch the ball and the peach (we live in Georgia) drop. Not that exciting for most, but I’ve come to look forward to our New Years Eves all together at home.:)

Christmas was fantastic. Got the new Canon Powershot I wanted. Now I’m clicking away. New Years is low key. Just finished my own blog redesign (did it myself). Just hoping that it looks better then the prior version.
