If we were to sit down and have virtual coffee I would tell you…
That last weekend was just what I needed.
Last weekend my amazing hubby planned a weekend away.
Just the two of us.
He asked his mom to babysit.
Booked a hotel room.
Make all the tentative plans,
and even a pampering massage appointment.
I would tell you that things have been so busy around here.
That we’ve both been dealing with our own stresses,
work, kids, life….
and we haven’t had much alone time.
Time to put work aside,
get away from home,
and re kindle the romance.
I would tell you that we met the nicest family at the top, who knew how to use a DSLR.
This is important because normally I’m the one behind the camera.
Never a picture with the two of us, unless it’s a self portrait.
And because of this families generous offer, I have this beautiful picture of Kyle and I.
A picture that captures the amazing view, and of the two of us and locks that minute of time and saves it.

I'd tell you that this will be my last year in the classroom for now and I'm at peace with it and so excited for the opportunity to be home with my kids. I'd tell you that since ten year old Manny's passing two weeks ago–I look at making the moments like you mentioned above more of a priority than the "stuff" we sometimes get caught up in…and then we would talk about our holiday traditions because Christmas is in nine days–crazy!! Glad you enjoyed your weekend–we are planning one in April–just went on a little date to a great Spanish restaurant and taste tested a ton!!!
