If we were having coffee today, I’d invite you over to my place. It’s been so warm out, my house has AC and the perfect couch to snuggle down into and enjoy some girl talk. I’d make us some ice coffee, with a dabble of vanilla creamer, or maybe pour us some raspberry ice tea with lots of ice because you can’t have girl talk without a beverage and a snack in hand. Chances are before we sit down, I’ll whip out a plate of mini cupcakes for us to enjoy as well.
I’d tell you how I finally feel like myself again, and my never ending cough seems to be becoming more a thing of the past. So much so that I actually shower, got dressed and did my hair and make up for the first time in what felt like forever. Hubs approved, I approved. I’ll keep the rest a secret. 😉
If we were having coffee I would tell you this week has been wonderfully busy. When I say busy, I mean filled with all the things I wasn’t able to accomplish last week. Snacks made, school pick ups and drop offs happened, play dates were planned and I made up for all the snuggles I missed. I think the worst part of being sick is that you’re forced to steer clear of your loved ones because the last thing you need is to have the rest of your family get sick and then pass it around. I’m sure I don’t even need to tell you how awful it is to tell your littles you can’t snuggle with them. This week, there were lots and lots of snuggles.
I would also tell you that I haven’t bought make up in a while and took a trip to Sephora for make up remover and came home with this pretty palette that the nice lady demonstrated how well all the colors suited me. Guess I’m an easy sell, because, well it ended up in my bag. I can’t wait to try the colors out. If you know of any good make up tutorials I’m all ears.
After much debate and 3 years of toting an Erin Condren planner, I ordered a Day Designer. As my assistant put it, “welcome to your new organized life.” I have to say I’m pretty excited! I haven’t written in her yet, but I fully plan to soon, even if it’s just my name! lol No matter how hard I try I’m a paper planner to the core and this baby is a beauty!
If were having coffee we would probably sit and talk for hours, laughing and sharing life stories, after all that’s what coffee dates are for. And after it was time to go, I would invite you to come back anytime and hopefully the weather wouldn’t be as warm and we could enjoy our coffee in the backyard or by the pool. Will you promise to come back soon?
If we were having coffee what would you tell me?
xo, Alissa
