This weekend, my love and I enjoyed a weekend away together in San Francisco to celebrate the marriage of one of my very bestest friends. Y’all may know her around here as Baby Boy Bakery, but I know her at Jacks, one of my best friends and someone who is such an important part of my life. Of course, those of you who know us well know that a fun weekend away is always intermixed with business meetings and dinners with new + old friends.
I know Kyle is going to kill me, but I had to share this picture of him serenading me on the rental car tram. Hubba hubba, how hot is he?!
Our first stop was at Stitch Fix headquarters. I’ve been working with the team there for several months now and it was so much fun to see where all the behind the scenes action happens! Y’all I think I’ve finally nailed down my style, who would’ve thunk it! haha One of my favorite things I saw, besides sneak peeks of new stuff coming soon (which I can’t share), was that they have customer’s comments and emails framed up on their walls. How awesome is this one?!
Of course every visit with new friends should end with a delicious meal. We walked down the street + ate at the most adorable, quaint and yummy restaurant, whose name is escaping me right now. I’ll be sure to track it down so I can share it with you. After chit chatting and hanging out for 3 hours, we headed out the door to check into our hotel in an interesting part of town (thanks, Priceline), to relax before dinner. We were able to relax, take a nap and enjoy some down time sans the kiddos. At 9pm, we were back out the door an headed across town to share a meal in the most awesome warehouse that was under renovation. In the middle of the room was a huge table topped with Spanish food, Paella being the central focus and boy oh boy was it good. We got to see old friends + meet some wonderful new people. I’m truly obsessed with connecting with people over delicious food.
Friday we headed north of San Fran to Walnut Creek to meet up with the rest of the wedding party. We got our nails did, had the rehearsal, enjoyed some dinner together and then worked until the wee hours helping Jacks finish up all the beautiful details of her wedding. It was so much fun + it was an opportunity for all the bridesmaids to bond before the wedding.
I love weddings so much! There’s something so magical, serene and wonderful about weddings, but it’s even more close to my heart this time because one of my best friends in getting married. Someone who I love and want only happiness for. I’ve seen her light up for years when she talks about Dan + what an incredible day it was watching them commit the rest of their lives to each other and to their family. I barely held it together during the ceremony. The warmth of the sun, the vows being shared, watching Dans tearful smile … made for such a wonderfully emotional ceremony.
