Hi Friends,
I’m so excited to have my friend Kelly from Managing Marbles hanging out with us today. I’ve known Kelly for 6 years and she is the ENTIRE reason why I began blogging to begin with. You see I was fresh out of my Credential program and looking for a job. She was almost nine months pregnant and getting ready to nestle in as a stay at home mommy. I took over her classroom! As we worked together for her last 6 weeks, we developed a wonderful friendship. One that has been filled with prayer and encouragement. I can’t even begin to tell you how blessed I feel to have her in my life.
When Kelly became a mom she began blogging and I loved keeping up with her journey via her blog. When I found out I was pregnant with Katelyn I immediately began blogging over at my family blog. Now, 6 years later, our oldest children are 1 year apart, and her middle child and Brayden are 5 days apart (both born 3 weeks early). How fun is that?
So take it away Kelly…
Hi. I’m Kelly and I blog over at Managing Marbles. I have gone from being a middle school Language Arts teacher, to a cupcake baker, and now to a blogging stay-at-home mommy. I am married to my first boyfriend from 5th grade. (No, we didn’t last that long…we only lasted a week)…we found each other again at the age of 26. We have 3 beautiful boys that keep our lives so full.

I am so glad to be guest posting today at Rags to Stitches. I got to meet Alissa 5 years ago. She was going to be taking over my classroom as I was about to leave my teaching position to be a stay-at-home mommy. I think she “drank the water.” She only lasted one year before she got to do the same…stay at home with her adorable kiddos.

Do you ever find yourself thinking about what it will be like when…
when you aren’t waking up throughout the night to feed your newborn, when your baby can finally get around on their own, when your two-year-old won’t throw tantrums anymore, when your preschooler can dress themselves, when your child can make their own bed…
I found myself doing that too often. I wanted to start relishing in all the little things because I know that this time passes so quickly, even though sometimes it feels like we are in a particular season forever. So, one morning, when I started to feel the feelings of… it’s a mess in here and I’m up way too early… I made a choice to change my perspective.
I realized that one day…
a fixed part of our family room decor.
with sippy cups, car seats, and Buzz Lightyear.
at 6:15 on a Saturday morning.
and the boxes of clothes waiting to be put into drawers.
