Lot’s of great stuff has been happening around here lately. As summer comes to an end and school is literally right around the corner, I find myself looking back at all that has happened in the last couple of months. Lot’s of growth, change, adjustments and more recently lots of deals. In the last week in a half Pollinate Media has closed deals with Time/People Magazine, Diet to Go, Dr. Pepper, Child to Cherish and we’re continuing to launch some exciting campaigns with World Market. We’ve even brought on 2 new people to our team. What?! All I can say is God is so good!! If you haven’t had a chance to check out Pollinate Media, we hope you will. Needless to say it’s getting a wee bit busy around here.
But the exciting news doesn’t stop there…. I couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to some new faces you’ll be seeing regularly around here. These three amazing ladies have joined the blog as monthly contributors and you’ll be seeing some amazing DIY, Dessert and Printable posts from them. Eek!! I hope you’re as excited as I am. Please take a few minutes to visit their blogs, say Hi and follow along.
Meet Jacqui from Baby Boy Bakery – Dessert Contributor
My name is Jacqui and I’m the author & baker of Baby Boy Bakery. My beautiful family and I reside in Los Angeles, California, where we brave the awful traffic and enjoy the amazing weather, beach in the summer and mountains in the winter. I started baking and blogging when my son was just 5 months and haven’t looked back since. Over in my neck of the woods I consider myself a ‘health nut’ who bakes a ton of desserts and usually eats the majority of them…sometimes more than once a day. But who’s counting? I have a passion for eating organic and keeping leafy greens a daily staple in my family’s diet. However, let’s face it…I make desserts for a living and a girl likes to indulge every so often. (Key word being often) So, I bake using only organic-all natural ingredients and call it even. I have come to realize that I just like to eat. Period. I am super excited to share my creations with the readers of Rags to Stitches! We are going to have a delicious time!
Meet Krista from The Gathering Place Design – DIY Contributor
Hi, I ‘m Krista:) I am a wife to an amazing man and momma to our beautiful girls, ages 11 & 6…they are my world! I love to create and I have always been inspired by what I see around me, trying to look at things in a different way and imagining how I would tweak something to bring out the hidden beauty. I am excited by possibilities and giving new life to something old or discarded.
I have a blog called The Gathering Place Design, where I share ways to create a cozy home that is ‘yours’. I enjoy designing custom wreaths and I have had the opportunity to have a few of my tutorials featured on HGTV.com. I recently opened a new shop called Rustik Chic where I create one of a kind leather cuffs from an eclectic mix of vintage belts, buttons, jewelry, ribbon, and lace. It has been so much fun to have this new and different creative outlet. I also do some blogging on my new blog, Rustik Chic Designs, where I share a little more of me and what I love.
I am happiest when I am creating and I am SO excited to be a contributor here at Rags to Stitches and share some DIY ideas & tips with all of Alissa’s amazing readers!!
Here are a few of my favorite projects…

Meet Lindsay from LYL Designs & The Shopperie – Printables Contributor
Hi there! I’m Lindsay Goldner, better known on the interwebs as Linz: blogger at LinzLovesYou, brand identity designer at LLY Designs, opinionated tweeter @linzlovesyou, Pinner extraordinarre, and of course, avid Facebooker (because what would life be like without Facebook?) There are few things in the world that I love more than snuggly animals, great design, a good book, being at the beach, and Broadway musicals (though not necessarily in that order). My business, LLY Designs, is a graphic design studio focused on developing brand identities for small, creative businesses (often women-owned!) that are reflective of both the personality and goals of the business and the business’ founders. I also offer other print and web design services alongside with the branding as well as creative consultation services to help my clients have successful launch and relaunches!
About The Shopperie: although LLY Designs is my numero uno design venture, The Shopperie will be a digital storefront where you can find fabulously-designed printables, both pre-designed and semi-custom kits, ranging from party printables to calling cards and really some inventive goodies in between! The best part about The Shopperie is that the bulk of The Shopperie products will be specifically designed to be printed on Avery products, so that you don’t even have to cut them out; just purchase, print, and play!

your own merchandise is one way of
implementing non advertising strategy to monetize your blog. you can start an online business by blogging about your own products. you can also ask for donations. this is hard to do but still possible. another way is to sell your posting
