A few weeks ago, 4 to be exact, I began sharing my fitness journey with you. I was so nervous because it’s definitely not a topic that I’ve ever shared on my blog, mostly because it feels so personal. What better way to celebrate my birthday than to talk about my measurements with you. haha.
Even now as I get ready to share my measurements again, I have to remind myself that muscle happens and then fat drops off. I need to look at every bit of change as a success whether it’s a success because it’s a muscle gain or a success because it’s a fat loss. I need to remember that this is just what I said it was… a journey. This month has been hard. It has tested me to no end. There have been days where I’ve wanted to skip work outs + when I’ve wanted to throw up before it’s over. I hate to sweat + learning about all the sweat pores I never knew I had has challenged me too.
One thing that has been amazing is being able to accomplish things that I never thought I ever would. Thank you guys for all your words of encouragement throughout this journey!
yes, that is a handstand push up. i did 10 of them! 4 just to get this picture. haha
Gulp! Alrighty, I’m about to get really real here + share my new measurements. 4 weeks ago I shared that I was hoping to loose 1/2 an inch everywhere. Well, there were some areas, like my waist and chest where I lost 1-1 1/2 inches, which I’m soo soo sooo excited about, but I’m not going to lie it was a little disappointing to see the added inches to my shoulders (which make me feel boxy) + hips! Like I mentioned earlier I’m trying to see those added inches as a success in gaining strength and muscle and not as a failure to loose. It should be interesting to see where I’m at in 4 weeks. By then I’ll be on week 10 of this journey.
Thanks for sharing in this journey with me friends. Your encouragement and success stories are blessing my socks off!!
