I’m so excited to introduce you to one of my newest sponsors, Jacqui from Baby Boy Bakery!
She’s so awesome, I promise, I’ve met her in real life!!
And… I’ve tried her phenomenal cake pops.
We met a couple months ago on Twitter (#lovemesometwitter) and became fast friends. I was thrilled when she decided to join the Rags to Stitches family.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your shop.
I’m Jacqui, founder of ‘Baby Boy Bakery’! I’m a proud momma to a beautiful baby boy named Ryan Cruz, crazy fun-loving girlfriend and striving organic baker and blogger. I have always loved being in the kitchen creating yummy food and desserts, though since having my son and staying home with him I have developed a serious passion for baking and displaying desserts for our families and friends events. Through my blog and Etsy bakery (shop) I have high hopes to broaden my clientele. I love to bake delish desserts and decorate them in simple, sophisticated ways with a designer feel. I also consider myself an organic momma and baker as I use only organic and pure ingredients when possible in my kitchen. My passion for momma-hood and organic baking have combined to create ‘Baby Boy Bakery’.
What made you decide to go organic?
I grew up with a momma who was a health nut, so those natural food qualities were instilled within me at a young age. Since becoming a momma myself I wanted to have my son grow up with those same important qualities. Eating organic foods has always been very important to me and now that I am making meals for this tiny person I want to start him off the right way…I feel as though I am setting him up for success. This goes for my desserts too! The most crucial ingredients when baking include; milk, eggs, sugar and flour. All those can be found organic…meaning they were grown/raised with no added hormones, pesticides and most importantly no GMO’s (genetically modified organisms). Now I am no scientist, but I do know that I want no part of those harmful things in the food I eat….especially the dessert I eat and sell to my loyal customers.
What inspires you?
I struggle with naming the things that inspire me. I do a weekly inspiration post and try to dig deep on certain things that inspire me and my business. Truth be told I am inspired by my fellow bloggers, handmade shops, bakeries and photographs. However, when writing about inspiration there seems to be a common link and that is my son Ryan. Ryan, although so small, has inspired me so greatly and in most cases it is hard for me to list the ways. With out Ryan I would not be the woman I am today and I certainly wouldn’t be were I am today. I look to Ryan for inspiration when I need it the most because he is so refreshing and helps keep me balanced.
What is your favorite color and what do you think it says about your personality?
My favorite color is red. I guess that says I am fun, funky and red-hot with passion for my family, life and Baby Boy Bakery 🙂
Where can we find you?
You can find me lots of places and I am always willing to listen to you and your thoughts. I love making new friends and chatting through out the week. I also love advice from a fresh pair of eyes and look to my blog, twitter and facebook friends for new flavor ideas. I also frequently celebrate Baby Boy Bakery and our growth with giveaways via social media. Also, I post weekly baby food and family recipes that are both healthy and super easy!

Jaqui is awesome & so so sweet! OH, and Ryan? ADORABLE!! We had BBB cookies this weekend at my daughters party and they were a huge hit! They're fluffy and light, not greasy like so many other sugar cookies. Plus, I was thrilled that she uses organic ingredients.
