This summer we’ve spend a lot of time in the sun. A lot! After all we live in Southern California and with the amazing weather we have pretty much year round, we are fortunate to be able to spend a great deal of our time outdoors. With that blessing comes the curse of finding a good sunscreen that’s going to do a good job of protecting my kids. I don’t mean to sound picky but I really need a sunscreen that doesn’t rub off on my kids clothes, is easy to apply, doesn’t form that thick, white layer on their skin (come on, you know what I’m talking about), will last for more than an hour, and will work whether we’re in the pool or just playing outdoors. This summer I’ve tried everything from lotions, to sticks and sprays and none have seemed to last more than two hours and all require my kids to wait 15-20 minutes to soak in once applied or re-applied before they can go back in the sun. Does your collection look like mine?
For all the reasons I listed above I have found myself on this continued search for a worthy sunscreen. So I was really excited to learn about the new Johnson & Johnson Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunscreen. Not only does it come in SPF 30, 50 and 85+ for adults, but it also comes in a 70+ SPF for kids. The best part? You can apply and reapply when my kids are wet from sweat, or wet from being in the pool. Awesome! When my friends and I get together and take our kids to the pool we usually pack a lunch and let the kids swim before and after they eat. My only struggle has been getting the kids to sit still and let me re-apply sunscreen before they go back in the pool. Well with Neutrogena Wet Skin sunscreen, I can spray and off they can go! Win, win!
Another great thing about Neutrogena Wet Skin sunscreen is that it has Helioplex technology and it’s the only sunscreen currently available on the market that contains this technology. Helioplex technology in the sunscreen protects my kids skin (and my own) from both UVA and UVB rays, and more specifically UVA rays providing better, longer protection. That’s huge!!
{One} -It comes in a spray can so it’s really easy to apply and has great coverage when you are spraying it on.
{Two} It has a 70+ SPF. My kids are fair skinned with light hair and eyes.
{Three} It can be applied and reapplied even if my kids are sweaty or wet from the pool. Sometimes, when you’re a mom, it really is the little things.
We had such a great day at the pool spending time with friends, eating pizza and swimming. All our little ones have been taking swim lessons all summer so it’s fun to watch them practice all the great things they are learning. I’m so proud of Katelyn, she had so much fun jumping in the pool and showing her daddy all the things she has been learning in her swim lessons.

So fun! 🙂 We just tried this sunscreen for our time at the beach and even though I don't love the spray kinds, I was SUPER impressed with being able to spray it on when wet! 🙂
