Oh I wish I had a thousand words to describe our amazing weekend.
Our 4 day, road trippin’, vineyard photo taking, family filled, s’mores making weekend.
There’s something about getting away that’s so good for the entrepreneurial soul.
I say this because, working from home, y’all, can be hard!
You have direct, constant accesses to your laptop, iPad, iPhone and internet access and every email that dings through your inbox seems so urgent. Often times, where we’re home, we spend the weekends working on our computers too. After all a business doesn’t build itself, right?
But when you travel away from home, you’re forced to put work aside and really enjoy life.
Thursday we traded 100 degree temperatures and the beach for 70 degree fall weather that allowed me to pull out sweaters, boots pants that have been beckoning to be out of my closet for weeks.
September is harvest at the family vineyard and we not only headed up for our yearly grape crushing trip, but we also got to shoot some family pictures at the vineyard with Tosti Studios.

Dave is the Circle family photographer! One of these days I need to share some pictures from the 4 hour maternity shoot he did for us when I was pregnant with Katelyn.

And somewhere in the midst of all the pictures, they taught me how to move from AV to Manual and I’m SMITTEN!
I’m not messing around y’all, I’m all over the Manual feature.
Upon gaining this amazing wealth of knowledge, I was a picture taking cray cray person. #asifIwasntalready

Saturday, while my in-laws were crushing Pinot grapes, Kyle and I took the kids to Pismo Beach to walk the pier.
It’s amazing how one hour on a pier overlooking the ocean can become the most exciting part of the whole weekend.
Katelyn & Brayden loved the Pelicans!
They were huge and no joke, would let us get within a foot of them. I’m using a 50mm lens for all my pictures so you can see how close I was able to get. #craycray
After spending some time at the pier hanging with the pelicans, we headed back to the hotel for naps before dinner.
I also got to visit my sweet friend Jeannett and get some snuggle time with baby Owen! Just call me the baby whisperer, because we were only there for 45 minutes and I had him snuggling with me in minutes. Friend, my ovaries thank you!
With a busy week ahead, I’m so thankful for these moments God gives us to “tune out” and enjoy the little things. After being there for 4 days, I was ready to buy myself a trailer to sit right next to my in-laws and move to the vineyard. You think I’m kidding! #nope

LOVE the pictures!!! Sounds like an amazing weekend! My favorite part of my weekend was the trip to the Aquarium we took yesterday. We went as part of my Birthday celebrating even though my birthday isn’t until this weekend. It was nice to get away for a few hours. 🙂
