For the first time EVER I’m growing my hair out and I’m loving how much more I can do with it. Since I’m still a long hair newbie, I’ve been looking for cute, fun ways I can style my hair. A couple week ago Little Miss Momma posted this awesome tutorial for how she styles her hair with the most beautiful curls. I loved how she braided her hair to get the curls going… umm, genius. Well I decided to try and do the same. Day 1 was a disaster, as was day 2, day 3 and well day 4 I decided to french braid it while it was still very wet and then leave it in till morning. Voila! I have found a way to get a set of beachy waves going. Then I found this great turorial for creating beachy waves with a flat iron. Finally, another fun style besides stick straight!
Today I’m going to show you how you can get some fun, beachy curls:
Step 1: Shower the night before and wash your hair. While wet, french braid your hair and leave it in till morning.
Step 2: Here’s the french braid in the next morning before I took it out. P.S I used the straightening iron on my bangs so they wouldn’t look like I just rolled out of bed. hehe
Step 3: Loosen french braid from bottom of braid to the top. I use my fingers… don’t use a comb or brush!
Step 4: I usually check the back of my hair to see what spots need a “touch up”
Step 5: Watch the video tutorial below on how to create waves using a flat iron. I usually clip up the top half of my hair and use the flat iron to create beachy waves. Then I fix any spots on the top that look straight.
Step 6: Use hair spray to keep your new, fun beachy waves looking fresh.
Here’s a couple more views for you:
Now I wanna see all the fun ways you style your hair. Have fun linking up!!

Oh dear me. I wish putting curls into my hair were a problem. I need them out! Ugh, stupid curls. I am growing my hair out again, but only because I am too lazy to go get it cut. Hehe. Your hair looks great. I love the shiny soft waves.

i do something similar, except i put my hair in a messy bun overnight. by the morning its almost dry. i take it out and scrunch it with mousse. i usually put it back up until the mousse dries and it stays wavy!

The curls look adorable on you. My hair looks like that naturally and, of course, I spend time flattening it every day. The waves are too unruly for me, but I'm going to check out the video you link to, to see if I can tame them.
Just stopping by from the SITS group. I'm in your group. Thanks for the comment yesterday!
