I love kids fashion! There I said it. In fact I love it so much that one might say I have a slight addiction when it comes to shopping for my kids. I always find stuff that they “need” because it would looks so cute on them. There was a time when I would spend hours on sites checking out clothes for myself, then I had little ones. Now you’ll most often find me checking out the latest in children’s fashion waiting for the moment it goes on sale so I can pounce on it. I love a good deal! Since both my kids are active it’s important to me that their clothes are affordable but also stylish. Both of my kids have a lot of clothes, but I find that to be beneficial for me because there’s more to rotate though out the week. As a result I do laundry less and their clothes last longer. Win, win!
Recently I had the opportunity to review Cookie Kids, an online children’s fashion website. Since Katelyn starts preschool on Tuesday I was excited to do some back to school shopping for her. Before I got started I headed into her closet to see what she needed. It was really a good excuse to finally remove all the 2T dresses from her closet that this summer we called “tunics,” and wore them with leggings. Come on, you Mom’s know what I’m talking about. We’ve all done it to save money. After cleaning out her closet I was in search of some cute tops, dresses and leggings. You can never go wrong with leggings and since Katelyn’s going to a Christian preschool she’s required to wear them under skirts and dresses. Fine by me, I’d rather her not lay around showing off her Repunzel panties. At least I know I won’t be getting “that” phone call from her principal.
I had never shopped at Cookie Kids before and I have very particular taste so I was hoping to find a few cute things in spite of my extreme pickiness. Of course sometimes it’s hard to be extremely picky and still shop on a budget. I found the clothes at Cookie Kids to be very affordable and there were a lot of great deals to take advantage of. Since Katelyn’s getting older I’ve been trying to be better giving her an opinion about what I am buying for her to wear. She loves to shop and dress herself so if I include her sometimes she’s more likely to wear it. Here are some of our favorites we decided on.
