Sip your coffee and poke around

I’ve spent the last week poking around blogs of others who will be headed to Alt Summit next week in SLC + it’s like a whole new world has been opened up to me. It reminded me just how big + wonderful + beautiful this world of blogging really is and how I really need to take some photography lessons. Anywho, I thought to myself it’s Saturday and the perfect day to share some of these beautiful blogs with you since you’re probably doing what I’m doing… sipping coffee + relaxing today, right?

 I found this Ultimate Alt Summit Survival Guide that Ez over at Creature Comforts put together. It’s going to prove to be a big asset to me as I pack and head off to SLC next weekend. I’ve never been to Alt Summit, but I’ve heard amazing things that I can’t wait to experience for myself. The great thing about this guide is that it’s not just perfect for Alt, but any conference you’re headed to this year.

I think I died and went to fashion inspired heaven this week over at Stylized Existence + Lauren is seriously the cutest thing ever. I’m really, really hoping I get to meet her at Alt next week. I think we’d be long lost buddies, except she, of course, will be much better dressed than me. hehe. If you’re looking for daily inspiration and awesome fashion tips, please check her out.

She does a great series called Blog Keeping and I recommend starting here with her Blog Keeping: Creating an Editorial Calendar post. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself, so go glean some wisdom from her.

Need an amazing DIY idea for Mother’s Day, how cute would this be to have your littles make all their Grandmas? I’m thinking that this might be one I can attempt to do with them, and y’all know how I am about crafting with my kids. It’s so messy and they can’t do it as well as I can. Obnoxious, I know, but true and I need to work on getting over it. I found this super fun + easy DIY while visiting Amy over at This Heart of Mine. She created it for Design Mom + that’s where you’ll find the full tutorial, but spend time poking around both blogs, I promise, it’s worth it.

You are all aware of Brayden’s completely over the top obsession with Super Heros + how cute is this DIY Super Hero Capes tutorial I found over at Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky! Marigold is adorable and talented and I’m pretty sure that once I’m done poking around her blog, I’ll have an entire Pin board dedicated to crafts from her blog.
