It’s funny because when I first started blogging I remember this feeling of pride.
I had come up with a name I loved, had a friend design a logo I couldn’t wait to show off.
I began writing….
People began reading…
Suddenly this little space that I never imagined would grow into anything more than stories my family would read, had real life readers.
People who I didn’t know, who had found my space and poked around for a while.
I began to feel nervous that I had no idea what I was doing, scared of what people would think about what I shared.
I started to wish I had a mentor, someone who could walk me through how to brand my blog and my business.
I needed more than just a series of “how to” blog posts, I needed a real life, honest and nice person who I could bounce ideas off of and gleam new ways to do things that could help grow my blog and my business.
Since nothing like that was around when I started blogging, you know, back in the dark ages of blogging (2007), I found myself tripping over every decision I was making unsure if I was doing it, “the right way.”
Which, of course, there’s no such thing, I’ve realized, as the “right way,” but simply understand and learning to expand on what works for you.
