Three Things Thursday

New year. New me. New you. New goals. One major goal this year is to engage this wonderful blogging community better. What better way than to begin a new link up with some blog friends! Together, the three of us came up with Three Things Thursday. Just three things to talk or write about. Five seemed like too many and “one thing” was like we weren’t even trying! So any three things that are on your mind. Any three pictures from Instagram. Three complaints about your day/week. Three of your favorite treats. Seriously. Any three things! So write it. Publish it. Yell it from the mountain tops! 

Diary of an Addict

Ok friends, let’s chat. So many fun things happening around here.

[ONE] I’ve had a lot, A LOT of meetings lately, which means coffee has become my best friend. Not like it wasn’t before, but my daily two cups has moved to three or four and there’s no shame in my game friends. I love any excuse to sip on a good cup of coffee all day long. I’m also really weird and even when it’s warm out, I prefer to drink hot coffee. Please tell me you agree.

[TWO] I found the most amazing farmhouse table this week made from reclaimed wood and as crazy as it sounds, it was the exact table I had been dreaming about for over a week. As we’ve moved along in our remodel process, we’ve prayed over the house a great deal as we hope that we will be able to use it to bless others. Last week I was telling Kyle about a dream that I had been having where we found a table that had four leaves that would allow us to make it really big to accommodate a large group of people. He looked at me and told me it sounded amazing, but would likely be something that would need to be custom made and would have to wait as that can get very expensive. Then, on Sunday we were out pre-Super Bowl looking at appliances and happened upon a store with some cute lighting fixtures so we popped inside. We were barely 100 feet in the store when to our right we spotted this table. It was the table in my dreams! Then the sales lady came over and told us it came with 4 leaves and could become an almost 12 foot table, comfortably fitting 14 people for a meal. WHAT?!! Needless to say that beauty had to come home with us. So while we have windows and doors being installed this week and no insulation or drywall up, I have my dream table to entertain and bless people. Some things are more important that walls.

[THREE] Brayden lost his first tooth last Friday night. It’s been wiggling for a couple of months and he finally decided he couldn’t stand it any longer and pulled it out while he and Kyle were waiting outside the auditorium before Katelyn’s talent show started. Thank goodness he had friends with wet wipes near by to clean up the mess before he got to me. I can’t believe my baby lost his first tooth and I want to shake my fist at time for going by faster than I can control it. Pretty sure it made his little smile even cuter than it was before.
