This weekend was beautiful!! So beautiful that we decided to forgo all structure + routine in our home and pack up a lunch and head to Irvine Regional Park for an afternoon in the sun. We ate a picnic lunch, rode the train, experienced horse back riding for the first time (well the kiddos anyway, Kyle used to barrel race once upon a time) and ended our day at the OC Zoo. We had such an incredible time, looking at all the animals, who were also out and about in their cages enjoying the sun. OC Zoo has over 100 difference animals + species, all of which have been rescued. So awesome!!
Normally, I’m a huge stickler about routines and especially nap time, but you can’t miss out on spending a day enjoying the beautiful sunshine. After freezing in 50 degree weather (yes we are wimps), we couldn’t pass up the chance to be outdoors in 75 degree weather. And bonus for mama, the littles were so tired when we got home at 3:30 that we all laid down and took a little snooze, then woke up and headed out for sushi dinner. Being that the kids are 1/2 Asian, we thought it would be a fun experience for them + they loved it!
I can’t believe it’s already Sunday and we’re moving into a new week. I know tomorrow is a holiday so I thought I’d get our week started off right with an awesome giveaway. Friends, you know I love my sponsors, they are truly amazing! Not only do they have beautiful blogs + shops, but also generous hearts. So pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, check out these lovely ladies and enter to win some swag from them.
How was your weekend by the way, did you do anything exciting?

My name is Danielle and I’m a full-time college student currently pursuing a marketing degree. When I’m not attending classes, studying, or catching up on my favorite TV shows, I like to share my thoughts by blogging. On my blog, Framed Frosting, you’ll find mostly fashion posts and bits of my life. Once in awhile if I’m feeling creative, you’ll also find a DIY project or new recipe!

My blog is a place where I share about our Arizona adventures, including the ups and downs of grad school, tips for home management, recipes, travels, and bits about marriage. My sincere hope is that my blog, regardless of the topic for the day, will be about Jesus and that my words will be written for His glory.

Hello! I’m Carissa, a SAHM, blogger and beginner sewer. I love fashion, dress up and looking for good shopping deals. Although, I enjoy working on my blog, I’m still new to the blogging world, but I’m having fun while trying to grow it. Also, I’ve always wanted to learn to sew, so I decided to take some sewing classes, and found that I enjoy doing that also. I just wish I had more time:)

My New Year’s Resolution is to grow my relationship with The Lord. Spending more time with Him and including my boys. My next resolution is to start a non-profit organization in memory of my daughter, Lilly, to make care boxes for families who leave the hospital with empty arms.

I’m not good at keeping resolutions, so I chose to do monthly goals instead. For January, one of my goals was to finish decorating my 2 little boys’ room. We moved the end of August and until recently it was a blank canvas with a {rarely slept in} crib and a toddler bed with a dresser and comfy book reading chair. It isn’t finished but is looking more ‘lived in’ now!
