That sleep is really important to me and I throughly miss it. I’m averaging, well, not enough sleep, but it’s been really amazing to see a dream come to fruition so I guess I’ll sleep when I’m dead.
That anytime you take a risk in life you’ll find that any and all insecurities you many have never realized you had slap you in the face at full speed and learning to combat them one by one is hard, but so important. I’m so grateful for #shereadstruth to help me see myself only as my Heavenly Father sees me and not as others see me.
That time with my family enjoying life and just being is what I need to feel alive, refreshed and rejuvenated. This past weekend we packed in a ton of activities. So many that I thought our kids would have a zillion and one meltdowns, complain their hungry, go potty every five seconds…. but they didn’t! Oh, my heart is soaring, it was so amazing!
That I miss my besties! I’m so grateful that despite our busy schedules I know that I am loved and prayed for and that Voxer has saved my life!! Seriously if y’all don’t have that app download it now!! And find me. It’s like walkie talkies but for adults.
That I’m all about making heart connections. I just want to get to know people, hear their hearts and if I can help encourage them to achieve their dreams. Might be the teacher in my coming out a little bit there, but there’s nothing I love better then being able to listen to someone talk about their dreams.
That I’m a passionate person. I’m either passionately happy, sad, angry…. oy! There’s no in-between, but I will tell you what I’m most passionate about… my family, my friends, my new business. Lordy I would talk your ear off about all three if you let me.
That I’m cannot end my day without a cold glass of milk. There’s something so calming and relaxing about that glass of milk and it helps me sleep like a baby. And if I could get a few of Jen’s delightful chocolate chip cookies I’m sure I’d sleep even better. What’s better than milk and cookies before bed?
That I miss watching tv in the middle of the day. I can’t remember the last time I sat down during nap time and caught up on my favorite reality tv shows. It does feel good to fall into bed at the end of the day and think back on all the productive things I got done. Too bad none of that includes the dishes or the laundry.
That I love to have clean laundry, but I hate to fold it. Please send reinforcements quick.
That I’m having a love/hate relationship with twitter lately. I’ve kinda found myself saddened by some of the passive aggressive ickiness that’s going on and even some of the outright attacks against others. I just want to fill it with positivity and encouragement. Can we do that? Or just come find me on Voxer.
That I love summer. All I want to do is sink my bare feet into the sand or the soft green grass and watch my kids run around. Maybe sip a cup of ice coffee with a friend or two.
That I’m thinking that Coffee Date on Friday should be a VLOG. eek! Did I just say that? Umm hmmm. So if I make coffee date a vlog, what kind of questions do you want me to answer? Is there anything you’ve been dying to know about my totally interesting life that I haven’t answered? I’m an open book, ask away.
Most importantly that I’m learning that I love that this blog has become my ministry. A way for God to use me a vessel to help others in anyway I can.
What do you feel like you’re learning about yourself lately?
Wore: beautiful jewelry c/o Along for the Ride. Please check out her adorable shop.
“Hi there! I’m Laura and I’m along for the ride. No really, I am. Along For the Ride isn’t just the name of my handmade shop and my blog, but it’s how I see my walk with the Lord. I am along for the ride He has planned for me, and what a glorious ride it is! My motto is “keep is simple” and I try to make simple accessories that aren’t too dramatic or fussy, but add just a pretty touch of whimsy to an already beautiful you.”

Umm…a coffee date vlog would be amazing! I’ve been wanting to do a vlog for a little while now but just not sure what I would talk about – I could do a coffee date for sure! Fun! You are just so darling! Enjoy your summer! That’s all for now.
Oh for your question what am I learning about myself; that I’m a WAY stronger person than I ever imagined….

You couldn’t have said this better to make the words feel like they’re coming out of my mouth. Lack of sleep. Yes. Missing friends. Yes. But we’re going planks, better ourselves and our futures. It is worth but we need to make sure not to do to much. Always making sure our family comes first and ask God’s guidance in every move we make.
Also this week I’m an official Mac girl with a web cam so now I can participate in all y’alls vlog discussions. Can’t wait!

If you do a vlog Coffee Date, I’ll do one too! No pressure though, lol. I’ve been learning a lot about myself lately too. That I’m stronger than what I think. That I am capable of more than I give myself credit for. And that sleep is overrated (hooray for 420am alarms….).
Also, I love your top, the colors are too cute, where is it from?

Voxer sounds interesting, and a little scary… you can hear people’s voices? crazy!

i love little posts like this 🙂 and still so excited for you with Pollinate. such an awesome idea! also, the passive aggressive yuckiness on twitter is shocking to me (not sure if we’re referring to the same thing?) I almost tweeted a general message about it (not directed to someone specifically) but decided that it was just adding to the passive aggressive yuckiness… even though what I was going to say was right and true! oh well, I guess that stuff happens everywhere and we can either engage in it or keep living 🙂 love you friend!

Hoping I’ve fixed the ‘my comments going to spam’ issue! 🙂 I hear you about twitter… All this bloggers picking on other bloggers makes my heart hurt. It’s supposed to be fun! Hope you had a Happy Fourth!

“I’ll sleep when I’m dead” made me laugh, because that’s what my mom always said! I guess it’s a Mom thing 🙂
